Be aware (or, just beware), this book is in the Just for Fun category of the bookshop. The description alone is worth the price of admission: Is Green Acres the place to be? Professor and bestselling author Race Fletcher thinks so, but he chooses tiny, cornfield surrounded Jasper College as his retreat from New York City. His work Deconstructing Green Acres has put him at the top of the academic pecking order. At the bottom in Jasper is Underdog, who was expelled a few weeks into his freshman year for smoking marijuana. Now he's a townee and works int he campus copy shop, a classic slacker. When both men are rivals for the same woman's love, Underdog is bound to lose. But it turns out that both Race and the College president have secrets, the students are restless, and a copy shop can become a position of power even if you are just a lowly townee. Could it be . . . the new romance genre of the academic world . . . or just fun trash? We'll let you know . . . or maybe you can let us know. |
