This is the new paperback edition of Woods' 1993 translation of Mann's classic. Even if Mann is not terribly hot these days, this is a terrific book--a great book to reread in a new translation. (You don't even need to read the Walpurgis Night conversation between Hans Castorp and Clavdia in French as in the old Lowe-Porter edition.)
